Resilient Leadership-Paulitha Pasala

In my experience, in many informal and resource limited settings, entrepreneurs naturally step into leadership roles even without titles or formal support. They lead through trust, empathy, and shared effort, holding people together when systems fall short. Two clear narratives keep appearing. One is collaborative resilience, where people lean on each other, adapt quickly, and turn challenges into collective strength. The other is structural vulnerability, shaped by red tape, fear, and constant emotional pressure. Women often speak more about relational stress and community based coping, while men tend to focus on operational barriers and system level challenges. Together, these experiences show how strong relationships help entrepreneurs survive hardship and build something sustainable. For policymakers, this message is simple. Building ecosystems rooted in trust, psychological safety, and collaboration is necessary for entrepreneurship to last and grow in emerging economies
